L.K. Bennett
DVF at Mark Shale
Dear Fashionistas,

When the 900 North Michigan Shops asked Fashionista Chicago to help put the spotlight on the LBD, we (I) were more than willing to show off the different ways to strut the hot little number .  The rules here: There are no rules.  Live out your fantasy for the night by being curvaceous, sensual, flirty or demure.
Each style takes on a different personality and there are certainly plenty of Little Black Dresses to fit yours.

The 900 North Michigan Shops  has taken on top brands with serious street cred and we wanted to show you how you can wear different styles and find them all in one place.

1. Max Mara is lean and mean as a classic cocktail dress in a noteworthy jersey.  Pair it with brown snakeskin heels for a subtle exotic touch.

2. Karen Millen is rockin and rollin with this hot sequin mini-dress that features long sleeves.  A side note: super comfortable and I loved wearing these multi-color heels to throw off the sequin look.

3. Jill Stuart at Bloomingdales strapless LBD shakes and shimmers and includes one of my favorite elements; it has pockets!  I paired this dress with Brian Atwood fluorescent strappy stilettos to give an edge!

4.  L.K. Bennett features a feminine and flirty dress that is fit for a princess!  This is one of Duchess Kate's favorite stores.  We can see why.

5.  DVF at Mark Shale simultaneously sweet and savvy.  This dress makes a statement with it's oversized bows .

Nicki

Exclusive Tour with T.J. Maxx

Dear Fashionistas,

Fashionista Chicago had the privilege to receive an exclusive walk-thru with T.J.Maxx Marketing guru Mikinzie Stuart from New York.  FC wanted to know just how does T.J.Maxx and Marshalls score such fabulous prices on cutting edge designers? It's no secret, their pocketbook is large and with that type of buying power one can see how they receive the incredible price-breaks.
Showcasing designers such as Max Mara, Cynthia Rowley, Coach and Theory, we made it easy for you to navigate the store by following these simple steps:

1.  Shop the aisle racks - This is where T.J. Maxx and Marshalls place their top designers to be sure they get ample visibility.

2.  Get to know your stores layout -  Knowing where the store features their top designers will help you navigate through the store.

3.  Shop often!  T.J.Maxx and Marshalls receive more than 10,000 new items each week (In every store).

4. Look for purple tags -   These tags are placed on elite brands found in high-end department stores (Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue) which means, if you see this, be sure to buy it.  You won't find a better price anywhere else.

5. Get to know your Manager - They know the inside scoop on the brands and will let you know when the one you are looking for arrives.

The T.J. Maxx on Fullerton Ave. has the above items now.  Don't miss out.
1. Calvin Klein Dress  2. Coach Ballerina Shoes  3.  Cynthia Rowley Tote   4.  Theory High Collar Coat
