Jonnie Rettele- Nonnie Threads Launches Website

Mail Call! Get Your English Leather Mailbag

Dear Fashionistas,

I guess I can’t stop finding great bags. What's a girl to do? 

Apostrophe and Ampersand  handcrafted these incredible one-of-a-kind bags from 100 year old mailbags that includes a leather exterior and canvas interior. The leather is a distressed vintage look and the canvas interior features a graphic print of the original bag number. So each one is unique and refined but staying true to it's previous life.

Don't Blame It On Rio!

Dear Fashionistas,

BIG BOLD BRIGHT BAGS

Big Bold Bright Bags are all the rage this spring.  With these bright vivid colors offered in stores now, they will surely help us snap out of the dull drum's of winter. But buyer beware: though retailers are showing vibrant colors in head-to-toe fashion, I would advise to wear sparingly.  Just a splash will do my darlings.

1. Marlowe, my new favorite store in Chicago offers this fabulous cashmere scarf with beautiful fur rosettes.  It is offered in black, silver, charcoal and champagne.  You can find Marlowe at the location of 800 North Michigan Ave. 

2. Krista K offers this super cute and cozy cashmere slouch hat that will look great with anything and will keep you warm to boot.  Krista K offers more gift ideas on their website.  Or check out the boutique at 3458 N Southport Ave.  You won't be able to leave without purchasing at least two or more items.  I warned you!

3. Frette is known for their luxurious bedside manor.  But I found these charming mink mittens with a shiny tie-up ribbon closure and had to post them for one of the last-minute luxurious gift ideas.  Made in Italy and 100% mink.  I wish they were big enough to add my whole body to snuggle in.  Located at 41 E. 4. Loris on Armitage is famous for her shoe selection offers these great Uggs.  Dig the Mongolian sheep's hair cuffing the top for a very stylish and oh so chic look.  Genuine sheepskin lining will keep you warm from the winter elements already in place.  Loris is located at 824 W. Armitage Ave.

5. Sephora, all things fragrant offers a delicious smelling perfume balm ring from Marc Jacobs.  The oversized ring opens to reveal a solid fragrance that is fresh and feminine.  Great idea for a stocking stuffer! This ring is located at 108 North State Street.
